Covington Water District is accepting applications to fill a part time position helping our Facility Operations crew with duties to include but not limited to cleaning, general maintenance, grounds maintenance, security rounds, and hydrant painting.
Hourly wage is $12.00 - $15.00 an hour depending on qualifications. Summer hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 p.m. from June through August. Work hours from September through May are part time (up to 20 hours per week) Monday through Friday. The start and stop time of the September through May month work hours are flexible. This position is eligible for limited benefits.
Applicant must be at least 17years old with a current Washington State Drivers License. Applicant will need to provide a driver’s abstract prior to hiring.
Work Environment:
Work is primarily performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds unassisted is required. This position requires the physical ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, grip, push, pull, lift, reach, walk on uneven surfaces, and perform repetitive motions of the wrists and hands.
