Each year, Covington Water District customers with a backflow prevention assembly are required to complete annual testing in accordance with Washington State Code WAC 246-290-490 and our Cross Connection Control Program.
This testing helps protect your drinking water, and our entire community, from potential contamination.
- Testing must be done by a certified Backflow Assembly Tester (BAT)
- A passing test must be submitted to the District by July 31, 2025
- If your assembly fails, it must be repaired and re-tested by the same deadline
