[ARCHIVED] Covington Water GIS Team Featured by ESRI

ESRI

We are proud to announce that our GIS team at Covington Water District has been featured in a recent ESRI Industry Blog titled, “Covington Water District Manages Vast Water Assets with GIS at the Center.”

Through years of steady dedication and innovation, our GIS team has transformed asset management by placing GIS technology at the core of our operations. The article highlights their work implementing the ArcGIS Utility Network, improving data quality, and modernizing outage communications. These advancements directly support our mission “To serve quality water with excellent customer service, commitment to strategic and emergency planning, fiscal responsibility, regulatory compliance, stewardship and partnerships.”

Each time you visit our Outages page and use the interactive map to check affected areas, you’re experiencing just one of the many powerful tools developed by our GIS team to make our district stronger and more responsive.

We congratulate Mike Velasco, Shawn Buck, Dan Dulan, Steve Lee, our consultant partners, and the entirety of our Engineering and Operations teams for leading and supporting this transformation. Their vision, effort, initiative, and collaboration made this success possible.

Our GIS team is the embodiment of our motto, “Vision of Tomorrow | Action Today.”
